Dr. Donald M. Walker has distinguished himself as a prominent Church of God minister and administrator.
A third-generation Church of God minister, he is the son of a pioneer preacher and literally grew up in a parsonage. Don married Jacquelyn (Touchstone) of Atlanta, Georgia, in June 1958.

State Director Women's Ministries

Upon graduation from O’Keefe High School in Atlanta, Georgia she attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where she met Don and they were married a few years later at the Hemphill Avenue Church of God (now Mount Paran Church of God). After these more than 47 years, following her husband’s ministerial assignments, Jackie is very pleased to be back home in Georgia, the state of her birth.

Gregory Baird, M.Div.
Director of Youth & Christian Education

Greg has a rich background of over twenty-six years in youth ministry. He has previously served as State Youth & C.E. Director in four states: Virginia, Southern Ohio, Delmarva-DC and California-Nevada. On the local level, Greg has also served as a youth pastor at the Princeton Pike Church of God in Hamilton, Ohio, and the Mt. Olive Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.

A graduate of The Church of God Theological Seminary and Lee University, Greg has been a member of numerous national boards, including: the National Youth & C.E. Board, National Singles Board, Smoky Mountain Winterfest Committee and president of the National Youth Leaders Association (NYLA). He has also served as Chairman of three Winterfests: Midwest, Premier and Pacific Coast.

Greg has a passion to teach and mentor the youth of this generation. As an educator, he served as an adjunct faculty instructor for Lee University, West Coast Christian College and the National Bible College, Washington, D.C.

He is supported in his calling by his wife, Jan. They have two sons, Brandon and Adam, who attend Lee University.

Jan Baird
State Girls Clubs Coordinator

Having been raised in a pastor’s home, Jan has been involved in leadership in the Church of God most of her life. She is a graduate of Lee University with a degree in business administration. Prior to coming to North Georgia, Jan has served as Girls Ministries Coordinator in California-Nevada, Delmarva-DC, Southern Ohio and Virginia.

Over the course of the last twenty-six years, she has worked as executive secretary to the Administrative Bishop, administrative secretary to the State Youth & C.E. Director and secretary to the Communications Coordinator of the World Missions Department in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Jan has a heart for young people and enjoys partnering with her husband, Greg, in youth ministry. They have two wonderful sons, Brandon and Adam, who attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Steve Brown M.A.
State Evangelism and Home Missions Director

Steve has had the privilege of serving the Church of God as youth pastor, evangelist, and pastor. He is a graduate of the Church of God Theological Seminary with a Masters in counseling and did his undergrad training in pastoral studies at Lee University. Steve served as senior pastor of the Milford Church of God from 1987 to 2004, which, experienced exceptional growth through his visionary leadership. Among his greatest blessings in life are his three children: Lydia, a graduate of Kennesaw State University; Heather, a graduate of Lee University; and Joshua, attending Patten University.

State Women's Ministries Evangelism Outreach Coordinator

Having celebrated 25 years of marriage to Steve Brown this past February, the couple was blessed with the opportunity to serve in the pastorate for over 20 years, more than 17 of which they had the privilege of serving in the capacity of Senior Pastor of Milford Church of God in Austell, Georgia. Barbara is the proud mother of three wonderful children: Lydia,  an early childhood graduate of Kennesaw University; Heather, a pre-med graduate of Lee University; and Joshua, who attends Patten University in California.
