Dr. Donald M. Walker has distinguished himself as a prominent Church of God minister and administrator. A third-generation Church of God minister, he is the son of a pioneer preacher and literally grew up in a parsonage. Don married Jacquelyn (Touchstone) of Atlanta, Georgia, in June 1958.
For more than 45 years he has been actively involved in ministry, serving the denomination in various roles including pastor, state director of youth and Christian Education in four states (Indiana, Michigan, Northern Ohio, and Tennessee) for a total of more than 16 years. As an educator and administrator,he served as Assistant Director of General Education, President of Northwest Bible College and President of the Church of God
Theological Seminary.
He has served as State Overseer in four states; North & South Dakota, Indiana, Tennessee and currently serves as the State Administrative Bishop for North Georgia.
His ministry roles include service on many strategic boards and committees. His denomination has elected him twice to serve on its highest body, the International Executive Council and he presently serves on the World Missions Board.
He is an internationally popular minister, speaker and Bible teacher in conferences and camp meetings throughout the United States and other countries. He brings to the pulpit an evangelistic delivery of the Word and has authored numerous articles and published works.
From his wealth of ministerial experience he is a source of counsel and mentoring to others in ministry and administrative roles of the Church.
