God put us "ALL" here for a purpose. I found mine with Men and Women of Action. I originally retired from the military, then started my own business doing heating and air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services. I didn't know it at the time but God was preparing me for Men and Women of Action. After the military, I was being educated in various construction trades for my final calling.

 

After surviving two heart attacks, my life began a new course. I began by finding a good church with a pastor who strongly believed in missions. His first statement to me was, "The mission field starts just outside our doorways." We began by doing all local projects for those who could not afford repairs by other contractors. One lady had been using a bucket of water from her bathtub to flush her commode for over two years. She had tears in her eyes after the repairs. We've cut someone's grass, changed a light bulb, repaired a porch, built wheelchair ramps, but these are just a few of the many jobs our group locally does. We end all projects with a prayer, tell them God sent us and He loves them. This is the most rewarding part of our ministry.

 

In 1999, I turned my business over to my son. At this time I bought a 12 foot enclosed tailer for carrying tools I had collected over the years. The next problem was funding our projects. Our Pastor allowed Men and Women of Action to be placed on the tithes envelope. The church and our members have been so generous. We have always had enough money for any project we have undertaken. We also get material money for wheelchair ramps through United Way. Our group has expanded over the years to projects in many states as well as foreign countries.
