State Evangelism and Home Missions Director
Steve currently serves as an esteemed member of the International Church of God Evangelism Board. In addition, he ministers to hundreds of churches, partnering with them to instill basic principles for how to double their church in less than 24 months. He also serves as a full-time pastor of the Sunnyside Church of God where attendance has increased from 40 this past summer to over 120 at the first of this year due to his visionary leadership. He has also had the privilege of serving as a youth pastor, evangelist, and pastor (serving as senior pastor of the Milford Church of God from 1987 to 2004). He is a graduate of the Church of God Theological Seminary with a Masters in counseling and did his undergrad training in pastoral studies at Lee University. Among his greatest blessings in life are his three children: Lydia, a graduate of Kennesaw State University; Heather, a graduate of Lee University; and Joshua, attending Lee University and a member of the Voices of Lee.
Barbara Brown
State Evangelism and Home Missions Coordinator
Barbara McBrayer Brown is a third generation Church of God member. During her years in ministry, she has served as youth choir director, Sunday school teacher, nursery coordinator, children's church director, choir member and Women's Ministry President. Barbara taught high school math for many years and is currently working on her master's degree in Teacher Leadership.
Barbara and her husband, Steve, were blessed with the opportunity to serve in the pastorate for over 20 years, more than 17 of which were as the senior pastor of Milford Church of God in Austell, Georgia. They are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Lydia, married to Brett Waters and a teacher with the Cobb Country School System; Heather, Lee University graduate and high school science teacher; and Joshua, a junior at Lee University and member of the Voices of Lee.
The Browns returned to NGA in August 2008 for a third two-year term as Evangelism Director and Coordinator, and are blessed to continue to minister alongside the wonderful people of North Georgia. They are honored to have the privilege of serving with Dr. and Mrs. Donald Walker and Bishop Greg and Mrs. Jan Baird on the leadership team of North Georgia.
Dawn Buff
USA Missions Assistant and Web Administrator
Dawn Buff is a graduate from Southern Illinois University where she received her Masters in Business Administration. She has served overseas as a Finance Administrator/Missionary in Africa and brings over 25 years of ministry experience to the State Office. Her travels and women's speaking tours have taken her to various states and places including Peru, Russia/Siberia, Jamaica, Guatamala, Switzerland, Italy and more. Prior to Dawn's time at the State Office she served as an international business consultant partnering with clients of Fortune 100 companies around the world doing process and organizational design. She offers our State a great blend of professionalism, commitment to excellence, Christlike servanthood, and enthusiasm.
