Max D. Burgess is one of our fine State Evangelists. He is a knowledgeable minister and his application of the Word to everyday people and their needs reveal his vast experience and compassion in ministering to the people of God. Max is very sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and will challenge you to a new commitment in Christ Jesus.

Max began his ministry after receiving the call of God upon his life over 50 years ago. Since then, God has used him as a church planter, revered church leader, Senior Pastor for more than 30 years and a mentor to many young pastors.

Max has served the Church of God as Pastor, District Pastor, and Evangelist and has served on numerous boards and committees in the Church of God. Evangelizing for more than 17 years, God has been using him in a mighty way to minister to pastors and congregations.

Tony Evans is one of our fine State Evangelists. He and his wife, Starla, bring 40 years of experience to children's ministry. They have dedicated their lives to the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For nearly three decades Tony Evans has ministered in camp meetings, state youth camps, district rallies, and church crusades. He is a member of the North Georgia Evangelism team and has had more than 6,000 speaking engagements including being a sought after speaker in the public school system. He also serves as the director of an inner-city ministry to hundreds of children. Starla, a graduate of Oral Roberts University, has a degree in vocal performance. She has been a missionary in several countries and has served as minister of music, children's pastor and evangelist. She has also taught in the public school system. The Evans have three children: Jessica, Jamie and Josiah.
